My name is Raul Larosa, and I’m a 19 year old IT student & part-time sysadmin from Milan, Italy.
Throughout my two final years of high school, I’ve come to realize that I absolutely adore computer networks. While I consider myself to be relatively battle-tested following my work experience (I have brought down prod and learned from it!), I am very much still a newcomer to the networking field and I yearn to learn more about everything surrounding it. When I’m not busy managing a fleet of EOL gear at the office, I’m probably working on my ever-expanding home network, featuring Mikrotik and IPv6 (which I’m a big advocate for).
While I still enjoy programming every once in a while, I absolutely abhor doing it in any professional context. Most of my early experience revolved around Roblox’s Luau, and over the years I have familiarized myself with the Node.js ecosystem, while having a superficial understanding of Java and Python thanks to school. I would still like to learn Rust at some point, but it’s not a priority.
Aside from networking, I have an interest in furry art and 2D side-scroller games like Hollow Knight and Rain World (but Tunic and Death’s Door are two favorites of mine as well). I tend to obsess over my favorite media a lot, especially when it comes to lore and technical implementations. As you can probably tell, foxes are my favorite animal, and I sometimes like being referred to as one.
